Best Friend’s Baby

Sheila is my best friend for eight years now. Over those years, we’ve been through a lot of things and our friendship has been tested for many times. She is more on a rebel type of person and I’m completely of the opposite. It’s funny how our friendship made a lot of people scratching their heads. Anyway, Sheila has an early marriage last year and she is having her first baby by the beginning of next month. We are already making plans for her baby like where would she go for college. For me, Gibbs Melville location is the best learning environment for a student.

Sheila going to have a baby girl and her name will be Trisha. I don’t really know how Sheila did come up with that name but it seems ok. Sheila’s husband, Henny, is coming home from Singapore to be with her to welcome their baby in this world. It’s really great to see that my best friend finally grew up and handles such responsibility well. She used to be a stubborn, spoiled brat who thinks that she can get anything that she wants. Now that she is having a baby everything suddenly changed in a positive way.

Static Pages

Today, people have been dependent to the internet. We prefer doing things like researching, shopping, booking hotels, applying for loans and even banking online. People are not aware of all the websites on the internet so they rely on search engines to guide them on finding the websites that they need. For this reason, search engine marketing has been very important for websites and this includes SEO or search engine optimization.

SEO involves tasks like keyword optimization, link building and adding content to websites. One of the most important tasks in SEO is building static pages instead of dynamic pages. Google, the biggest and most popular search engine today, tells webmasters that static pages are essential in SEO. Webmasters can either use a software or manually build their static pages. Using software will save you more time compared to the later but either way, it will do well to your websites.

Stumbled Upon Bay Chefs Site

The stumble upon toolbar was recently installed in my browser. A friend told me about it, asked me to install it and invited me to be his stumble friend. I personalized my settings based on my interest and I was off stumbling on great websites. One of the first websites that I have stumbled upon is the Bay Chefs site - the official website of the California Cooking Academy. I was browsing over several pages of their website and it just completely got my interest. Cooking has been my obsession for a few years now but I haven’t really enrolling in a culinary school. I actually prefer learning how to cook on my own based on cookbooks that I regularly buy.

I hope to see more of these websites because they inspire me to do better and work harder on my cooking skills. My mom told me that I am gradually doing better in cooking and I never failed to surprise her. Sometimes I even mix up recipes and come up with my own. It’s a little risky and it isn’t successful at all times but it’s worth it when come up with a new one. Perhaps one day I will also be putting up a website for my own culinary school or have my own TV show aired. For now all I can do is learn on my own and browse over thousand of cooking websites that inspires me.

Personalized Gifts

We often express ourselves through gifts and we spend money just to see our friends and loved ones happy because of the gifts we give them. We spend time to think on what is the perfect gift to give for different people and different occasions. The best gifts to give, in my opinion, are personalized gifts. Giving a gift that is customized just for a specific person is better than just buying an ordinary gift in a shop. Even I, appreciate customized or personalized more than more expensive gifts.

Some of the items that you can have customized are personalized crocks, plaques, mugs and mailboxes. I received a personalized mug from a friend for my recent birthday and I really love how it was custom made just for me. They may cost a little extra compared to regular gift items but personalized gifts shows that you are putting your heart in giving gifts. So the next time you are planning to give a gift for an occasion, make it extra by having it personalized.

If you do not prefer the services of bluehost or omnis due to the absence of backup, you should go for lunarpages.

Playing LAN Games

Having my very own laptop is one of my dreams and now that I have one, all I can feel is joy and fulfillment. Thank God there is a shop downtown that recently availed of a merchant service and started to accept credit cards. This will allow me to get a new laptop and pay for it in twelve monthly installments. My laptop’s primary purpose is for work but recently installed a few games to have something to entertain myself when having a break from working hard. I just hope I won’t get too addicted in playing these games and have a negative effect on my work.

The current games installed in my laptop are Counter Strike Source, Need for Speed, DOTA All Stars and World of War Craft. I’m not really good at any of these games yet but I think I like Need for speed the best. I got a few friends who told me of their plans of visiting me and knowing that they also have a laptop, I told them to bring their laptop and challenged then in a LAN game. As expected, I lost. Those guys are just too good for me… but not for long. I’m determined to practice a lot and become even better that my friends in playing these games without forgetting about my work of course.

Money is essential in several aspects of our lives. We get a job to work and get paid because we need money to spend for our needs. However, there are times when the money we earn is not enough to cover our current expenses. Getting loans is the most used solution in this kind of situation.
